We were welcomed to Whaler’s Cove of Deception Island with a beautiful
sunset. We are now anchored and heaters going and excitement is high.
Our crossing in the Drake at times sporty and other times much calmer. A
humpback whale was seen very close to us as well as porpoising penguins
and a grand iceberg.
More than half of us were seasick, but are well now. We each stood 3
hour watches with 6 hours of rest in between.
Tomorrow we will go ashore Whaler’s Cove.
