It’s been 5 days at sea, I’m surrounded by the strangest sample of people I have ever been confined. One man collects skulls of every shape and size and takes a bite of everything he sees, we don’t know whose next.
Dan is a lovely man from the States, he looks like Santa Claus and moons all of the tourist boats.
Theres an Australian woman who promises she is smiling in every picture but we haven’t even seen her face yet, she lives under 7 layers. We think she might actually be very tiny but we aren’t sure and have to squeeze her through the door.
Theres a guy from Australia who has been a school principle for most of his working life and he thinks nothing has been as dangerous as coming on this trip. We fought the tumultuous seas off the Drake Passage.
The Alaskan is concealing her dark side – whats to come? Her name is Lisa but everyone calls her Alice – who the F*** is Alice? 😉 (Silly song the Australians love – she wont answer to it lol).
The crew is wonderful, awesome, very patient, they told us their worst tourist stories which involved Bismark the 3rd taking his gold fish on tour for artistic purposes – Antartica regulations meant he could come along but only in a state of cryogenic suspension. It was easy to capture his best angle in the resulting photos.
(I got help to write this email obviously lol)
